Fontane and the end of the map
Theodor Fontane mentions Holnis in his novel “Unwiederbringlich”, and a path bears his name today.

Theodor Fontane travelled the region as a war correspondent. Later he mentions Holnis in his novel “Unwiederbringlich”.
On the Fontaneweg
Today the Fontaneweg leads past the Fährhaus Holnis to Holnis Spitze, the north-eastern tip of the peninsula. From there you look across the Förde to Denmark.
